I always wanted to try out contributing to open-source, and I got lucky my first project was Idrinth API Bench. The project creator also turned out to be a good mentor with whom we tackled the issue together.

That’s what we did:

• Implemented sorting of contributors to the project by the number of contributions
• Introduced filtering capabilities
• Added a command-line option to run specific case IDs
• Created unit tests to ensure code reliability

This work has increased code readability, improved contribution tracking, and enhanced CLI functionality.

This experience strengthened my global collaboration skills and real-world use of Git and GitHub.
